my story
For most of her career, Rebecca spent time serving Title I schools both during and after school by building positive culture and establishing programs that not only worked to close the access gaps in education for middle level males, but also to enhance the social-emotional wellbeing of her middle level female population.
Like many of you, Rebecca was a teacher who left her undergraduate program thinking she’d change the world within her first year by beginning her students’ “Change Agent of the Year” but was sadly mistaken when she encountered trial after trial, putting to test her true passion within this field. Feeling unappreciated, underprepared, and drowned out, Rebecca was determined to uncover fool-proof, problem solving techniques to help her achieve success, both inside and outside of the classroom.
Soon after Rebecca decided to research and apply those best-practices to her revamped teaching philosophy, a silver lining emerged, and leadership positions began to pour in. This became a launch-pad of exposure within her immediate network of educators, as well as other distinguished educators across the nation.
Rebecca understands the academic barriers many of her students face prior to entering her classroom, and she has been committed to exploring new depths of knowledge to propel her students and colleagues to their next level in teaching and learning experiences.
